If you liked the halftime show you truly facinate me.

What the Fuck Was That?

Man, what the actual fuck was that Super Bowl halftime show? I'm sitting there expecting some classic American entertainment during the biggest game of the year, and instead we get Bad Bunny turning the whole thing into a Puerto Rican party. The stage looked like a sugar cane field with dancers in straw hats, old folks playing dominoes, shaved ice stands. Then Ricky Martin pops up, who's openly gay and proud. Booty shaking, perreo grinding, twerking everywhere like it's a strip club, not the Super Bowl. It was just nonstop ass shaking chaos mixed with random shit, including a fake wedding scene.

Lady Gaga shows up out of nowhere, but they twist her song "Die with a Smile" into this salsa heavy Spanish version with some band called Los Sobrinos backing her up. Why the hell change it like that? Nobody asked for a Latin remix of fucking Die with a smile?!. It's this constant idolization of Spanish and Puerto Rican culture being shoved in our faces flags waving from different countries at the end, performers marching with them, shouting out nations across the Americas. Bad Bunny even ends with "God Bless America" while holding up some "Together We Are America" sign. This is supposed to be the most American event ever the Super Bowl halftime show! Why turn it into a multicultural love fest celebrating everything but American roots? It felt like they were trying to make a statement about unity, but it came off as forcing Latino pride down everyone's throat while ignoring what the majority of viewers actually want. ohhhh wait I know why, because all this immigration stuff huh?

The Language Barrier and Those Grotesque Lyrics

Half the people in the stadium and half the viewers at home didn't even know what the fuck Bad Bunny was singing about. Go look up the lyrics to songs like "Safaera" or "Tití Me Preguntó" it's the most grotesque fucking crap you've ever heard for a halftime show. Talking about chinga en los Audi (that's fucking in Audis), mama el culo (suck my ass), bicho (dick) that's cabrón, totito (pussy), baby gravy (cum), and just endless perreo references to grinding and ass. They're blasting this explicit sex and butt licking in the middle of America's biggest game? Kids are watching, families are there what the hell? It's one of the worst performances ever, a total slap in the face to everything American. Honestly bro, its fucking hilarious.

Backlash on X and Why This Felt So Wrong

Over on X, people are ripping it apart too. One guy posted footage from inside the stadium saying nobody in the stands was even enjoying it, calling it a total failure with folks just sitting there confused. Another called out the lyrics as obscene and a bastardization of Spanish, suggesting the FCC should fine the NFL for it. There's backlash everywhere about how it felt foreign, unintelligible, and like a political push rather than entertainment. Some folks are swearing off the NFL over it, saying it's gone too woke or too focused on pushing Spanish language stuff. Yeah, the media on one side is calling it historic and joyful, but a ton of regular viewers are like, "What the hell was that?" It wasn't unifying it was divisive as fuck. This kind of thing is why people are tuning out. Bring back something that actually feels American next time.
